At the October 12 Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in Brussels, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III commented: “Ukraine has made extraordinary gains on the battlefield. They’ve retaken thousands of square kilometres of their land.” He has also reassured that the United States will continue to boost Ukraine’s defensive capabilities, both for today’s urgent needs and for the long haul. “Ukraine has shown the world that the military and moral power of a free people fighting for their democracy and their sovereignty prevails. That courage inspires us all.”

Boosted by the support of the allied countries and partners who continue to come forward with financial, humanitarian and military packages, Ukraine is able to defend the rules-based international order that strengthens global security as well as democratic values. But it is not only material support that matters. In the modern world, information is a weapon that is, by all means, sharper than a sword and faster than a bullet.

From October 14, the book KYIV RYSING exploring contemporary Ukraine is available for free download. KYIV RYSING is both a timely synthesis of indispensable information from multiple reliable sources and a vital practical guide to national recovery. The compendium, condensed into 425 pages of invaluable information across the military, social, environmental, and economic spheres, accurately portrays the real story of Ukraine’s past, present, and collective hopes for the future. KYIV RYSING speaks with the voices of real people: from well-known public figures to healthcare workers, whose unwavering dedication and commitment to Ukraine’s RYSING reflect the will and energy of the entire nation.

The book provides valuable insights in the form of interviews with government and military officials, senior public servants, MPs, members of the diplomatic corps, business officials, representatives from leading universities and non-governmental organisations, distinguished members of business associations, entrepreneurs, as well as prominent figures from Ukraine, the United States, and the European Union.

The book was developed and presented by Kyiv Strategy Consulting LLC, one of the largest management consultancies in Ukraine, in collaboration with 60 external subject-matter experts and advisors from Ukraine and abroad. Rooted back to 2018, Kyiv Strategy Consulting LLC has since become the fastest-growing management consultancy in Ukraine, employing over 130 business consultants who serve customers in over 40 countries and have a track record of more than 360 consulting engagements.

It is worth mentioning that the tremendous research challenge and subsequent KYIV RYSING book release were initiated, supervised and sponsored by the CEO of Kyiv Strategy Consulting Nicolai Kiskalt. “The Ukrainian spirit is truly something to behold, it’s an amazing phenomenon. I once again want to take this opportunity to reiterate the importance of KYIV RYSING which is aimed at harnessing the power of information as a driver of awareness and change, as well as educating the global community about what Ukraine is and who the Ukrainian people are,” Nicolai commented in his KYIV RYSING foreword.

As Ukraine is not only the base country for the consultancy but the homeland for the entire staff of Kyiv Strategy Consulting, the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine have been taken extremely personally by each of its employees. Nicolai Kiskalt recollects the initial stage of the project: “As the fog of war began to lift following the successful defence of Kyiv, we began to think seriously about the ways in which our team might contribute to Ukraine’s recovery in the aftermath of war. It was decided ultimately that we would undertake a pro bono consulting project.”

The consultancy’s presence in the Ukrainian market, as well as its global network of well-established connections, are extremely advantageous and couldn’t be of more relevance to Ukraine’s post-war recovery process in terms of delivering focused consulting services for international investors as well as the Ukrainian public and private sectors.

“Ukrainian management consultancies and law firms will be the entry point for donors, investors, and international organizations who want to re-discover the business potential of Ukraine as it harbors numerous opportunities. Russian military attacks are still ravaging Ukraine. Nevertheless, we need to be focusing on the long-term future of the country which will require a massive, concerted effort to Ukraine’s RYSING,” commented Nicolai Kiskalt.

In challenging times, it is extremely important to collaborate and network with the finest advisors. Kyiv Strategy Consulting and their strategic partners already possess the skill sets and experience gained in various business sectors in Ukraine and internationally in order to guide senior decision-makers, public organizations, and commercial entities towards Ukraine’s RYSING.
