The Ukrainian Seaports Authority has inked a memorandum of understanding with Belgium’s Port of Antwerp International/APEC as part of ongoing efforts to capitalize on Ukraine’s Black Sea port potential.

In line with the memorandum, experts from Antwerp will conduct detailed analysis of Ukraine’s seaports and produce a development strategy for their further exploitation. Belgian specialists are also leading training programs focused on themes such as concession project implementation and the pricing of port services.

Managing director of Port of Antwerp International and the APEC Port Training Center Kristof Waterschoot said the cooperation initiative reflects growing international interest in Ukraine’s seaports.
