Passenger numbers at Kharkiv International Airport rose by 48% year-on-year during August 2019 to reach a new record of 140,400 people.

This new total surpassed the previous monthly high of 130,700 passengers established one month earlier in July 2019.

The surge in passenger volumes during the peak summer season has helped push annual growth at Kharkiv airport to 29% for the first eight months of the year.

The most popular destinations from Kharkiv are Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, Istanbul and Antalya (Turkey), Tel Aviv (Israel), Kutaisi (Georgia), and Barcelona, Warsaw and Vienna in the EU.
