Kharkiv International Airport received a comprehensive upgrade from Oleksandr Yaroslavsky’s DCH Group as part of preparations for Kharkiv’s role as one of four Ukrainian host cities during the UEFA Euro 2012 football championship co-hosted by Ukraine and Poland. Yaroslavsky’s investment in the upgrade, which included financing the construction of a new terminal building and the complete redevelopment of the existing terminal, totaled USD 107 million. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian authorities financed the development of the airport’s runway facilities.

A team of experts from Kharkiv International Airport, together with colleagues from Airport Consulting Vienna, is currently working on plans for the complete redevelopment of Dnipro International Airport. Yaroslavsky has confirmed his readiness to participate in the project on condition that the state provides full budget funding for the construction of a new runway.
